hello,
Well, another awesome day so far. Amy and I went with 2 missionaries to Eli's orphanage today...what an experience! It was so touching to see where he came from and to play with the children that he lived with. The men went back to the ghetto to work all day on another home...that's what they love to do! Right now, half of the women went to the dump to minister to the people that live there and bring them supplies. The rest of us are back at Hannah's cleaning, organizing, feeding, etc. Later we're going to church near the ghetto to minister to those people. We'll be leading worship and Evan is giving a sermon along with his testimony....should be awesome! Church down here goes for about 2 hours, so we'll be good and tired later tonight.
Tomorrow it's back to work in the ghetto and then off to another poor orphanage in zone 3. On Saturday we're having a big dinner and church service for the people that we collected all the donations for...should be really neat. We bought a microwave for the pastor today..he's been saving for one for months. He also lives in the ghetto so that is a huge help for his family. On Sunday we're stopping by the handicraft market on the way to the airport so if you have any requests post now!
Hasta Luego,
Suzanne

Ruth Nipe, Henny Senland, Ruth and Harald Lillestolen, Violet Halvorson and Pastor Ole and Myrna just finished dinner and read together all of your postings. What a blessing. Harald wishes he was there as do several others of us. Maybe another time. We prayed for you this evening after our meal and will continue to do so. God bless each of you and we look forward to when you are back with us. Love from all of us.
ReplyDeleteI am so thankful to all of you for sharing the love of Jesus to the children in Guatemala. David would be so proud of his daughters as well as the rest of the team for following his example to answer when our Lord calls us,and to go into all the world and serve Him with our God given talents. My prayers are with you daily. With love, Carole
ReplyDeleteYou've done so much already but still seem to have so much more planned to do. I haven't only been praying for the building projects, repairs, and sharing Jesus and love with the kids, but also have been thanking God that you all have the ability to work in these capacities. You may be having an amazing time, but all of you are amazing (because of Him)!!! It's AWESOME! Luv, Dawn
ReplyDeleteHi Everyone, It is so good to be able to read the blog each day and hear how God is working through you all in ministering to the people and children of Guatemala. You are all a blessing to the people you are ministering too. Glad you were able to get a microwave for the Pastor. What an answer to his prayers. There is power in prayer. We pray for you each day. I know that we will be blessed after you get back and tell us of what God has done there. Anna and Alice I talk with you mom each night. I let her know what news there is on the blog. Alice she said to tell you that the kids are doing fine. Love to all of you. Cathy,
