Good morning!
Well, I think we all attended the most awesome church service of our lives last night. Needless to say, it was a bit different from worship in the U.S! There was a band and tamborine dancers, it was so cool! Evan and Chris Janusz gave their testimonies and Evan gave a sermon, it was so great. Normally the church, which is a very large room, fills the first 4 or 5 rows...not last night! Because of the work that the men did in the ghetto, all of the ghetto people they met came to church last night including several gang members. The Holy Spirit was everywhere! The church was so full that the people spilled out into the street. It was so awesome to see the power of God. We handed out a lot of Bibles after church and got to talk to several of the people. It was a once in a lifetime experience. Everyone should experience church in Guatemala!
Today is girls day in the ghetto. We're painting the houses that the men worked on. Later we're going another orphanage to minister. Tonight we get to eat in downtown Guatemala city for some authentic food! Thanks for the continued prayers, we have so much to share when we get home!!!

p.s this will NOT be our last trip!

God is awesome! I'm so glad that you're all having the experience of seeing God at work down there in Guatemala. I am thankful that we can catch some of your enthusiasm through these blogs. I'll keep praying for you as your time there is fast coming to a close. May you seize those opportunities God puts in front of you. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteLast night was evidence that God IS LOVING whate you're doing!!! We know that God is powerful, but when you saw the physical evidence of HOW AWESOME HE IS, it must have blown you away. Your mission for this trip has been fulfilled! If we didn't miss you so much we'd let you stay! ; ) Luv, Dawn
ReplyDeleteWell.....it seems like you all have been busy and that just you being there willing to serve and talk to others about God's love has openned up hearts! I'm sure that you will all be exhausted after this trip but I'm thankful that everyone had the opportunity to serve the Lord in various functions. I can't wait to see pictures. (Please tell me that videos and pictures will be posted on the blog when you all are back!) Glad that this has changed your lives and the lives of others. Prayers are surrounding you daily from all around the country!!
