buenos noches,
We spent a wonderful, and hot, day in the village of Santa Rosa. We went to an all girls orphanage, and it was wonderful! The men did plumbing work, roof patching and footing work. The women put on a VBS, painted a mural, and played all day with the kids. We were able to give each girl a small gift bag with necklaces, hand stamps, candy, crayons, etc. in them...they were soooo happy! The older kids were begging us to take them to the United States, they were in tears when we left. We told the head nun to tell them that we love them and we would take them if we could....her response was that we had now given them something to dream about...hope for a better life. All in all, it was another awesome day! Tomorrow, Jeff, Amy and I are going to Eli's orphanage. The rest of the team is going back to the ghetto to continue on the building project or staying at Hannah's to help out. In the afternoon we have a choice to go to the dump and minister to the people that live there, or visit another poor orphanage in the city. I know it will be another awesome experience. Thanks for your continued prayers....

Your work and love will be with these children and families forever. It's so nice to read that you're having an incredible experience and I'm sure that you all will never forget this either. I can't wait to see pictures of all the kids and their smiling faces. Smiles that you helped put there. . . Luv, Dawn
