Like coming home.....

Hello everyone!
After an exhausting travel day, we finally made it to Guatemala!
We had a nice breakfast and devotions outside and then went to play with the kids. It was so amazing to be able to hug and play with the children all over again. Amelia ran right up to me and starting hugging me like crazy. All of the kids were so excited that we were there.
It is so nice to be staying at Dori's Promise, but there are some definate needs that need to be met here. They are struggling to feed the kids. In fact, they had just enough food to make it through the weekend. We are going to the grocery store later with Ashley to remedy that! It feels so good to be able to help out wherever needed.
After spending time at Dori's this morning, Ashley brought Brenda and I to the Limonada. It was incredible...I had that feeling you have when you've just come home from somewhere. We went and bought Francisco a bed...he's a boy that used to live with Ashley. We gave money to the pastor of the chuch that needed a tin roof. He was SO thankful! His church is busting with teens that have accepted Christ recently. There is a revival happening in the ghetto! We also got to meet Elmer's mother. She is the sweetest woman. Her other son got shot a few days ago, so we were able to give her money for medicine. God has provided so much for us to be able to give on this trip. Thank you for your continued prayers! We'll update later. Love all of you!

  1. Hi from the Tuscarora Hartlandites that got stranded with a storm! We came down for the Christmas concert and then today's storm kept us here. We heard that interstate 80 was closed so we stayed here an extra night. Brenda your parents are here too. We appreciated reading your blog and love to keep track of how you are doing. Certainly thankful that you had extra money to meet the needs there! We will keep you in our prayers! We had to go to your facebook page to get the right blog address!
